My Tech-Savvy Scholar Life

Oh, how has technology changed my job? Well… first of all, I don’t exactly have a job in the traditional sense. I’m a research scholar and an author, which basically means I’m either buried in academic articles, lost in a forest of footnotes, or having deep emotional conversations with my laptop at 2 AM.

Technology, especially my laptop, is the lifeline of my work. Honestly, if my laptop ever decided to retire or go on strike, I’d probably just sit in a corner and rethink all my life choices. There was a time when I used to make all my notes by hand. It was a noble effort. I had neat handwriting, and funnily enough, writing things down helped me remember them better. But let’s be real… it was so time-consuming. By the time I’d finish writing one concept, three new assignments would have already knocked on my door like uninvited guests.

Now, with my laptop, I’ve become a full-blown digital ninja. My typing speed has improved; I can make notes, write research papers, or work on the manuscript of my next book without breaking a sweat. Copy-paste is my best friend, shhh, don’t tell my professors! And let’s not forget the magical CTRL + F, what a lifesaver during literature reviews!

Plus, sometimes I even help others with their document work and earn a few bucks on the side. It’s like being a low-key academic freelancer… or a research vigilante. Depends on how dramatic I’m feeling that day.

So yeah, technology hasn’t just changed my “job”… it has basically made it possible. Without it, I’d probably still be battling ink stains, misplacing paper notes, and crying into my textbooks.
