Favorite Websites for Fun, Inspiration, Wellness, and Growth

Some of my favorite websites are like a mix of comfort, inspiration, and motivation, reflecting different sides of my life. As someone who loves to read, Wattpad is a top pick—I could get lost for hours scrolling through stories! I recently published my own poetry book there called Unheard Cries, which has been a rewarding way to connect with others who enjoy heartfelt poetry.

When I’m ready to unwind, I love catching up on K-dramas on MyAsianTV. There’s just something so fun and refreshing about watching these shows that lets me relax and recharge, especially in between my research work.

Speaking of research, as a research scholar, I have a few go-to sites for inspiration and motivation that help me stay grounded. The Marginalian (formerly Brain Pickings) has insightful articles about life and literature that make me think and often inspire my writing. Zen Habits is another gem for mindfulness and simplifying life—it reminds me to slow down and make space for what matters most. I also find a lot of wisdom on Tiny Buddha and TED Talks, where there’s always a talk or article that gives me a new perspective.

I also like exploring Indian sites like YourStory, which has inspiring stories of Indian startups and entrepreneurs, and The Better India, which shares positive stories that celebrate Indian changemakers and initiatives. For professional growth, LinkedIn is my go-to platform to connect with like-minded professionals, stay updated on industry insights, and find resources to improve my skills.

On the fitness front, I’m trying to make time for healthy habits! For workout inspiration, I love browsing Fitness Blender, which has free workouts for all fitness levels. Yoga with Adriene on YouTube has been fantastic for beginner-friendly yoga routines. HealthifyMe is another favorite Indian site for tracking health and nutrition, with tips customized for Indian diets and lifestyles.

These websites add a mix of learning, creativity, relaxation, and wellness to my daily routine, making them essentials in my life.

  1. Interesting!
I know, and have used, some of these websites.

In the initial phase of blogging, MyStory was presented as the leading blog run by female blogger/s.
    MissMalini is another such website.
Indieblogger was the common meeting point of all bloggers from India. They feature many blogs.

Have used LinkedIn for some. Later closed the account.
I might use it in the future.

My previous blogs were based on Selfhelp. At that time I got to know about Tiny buddha.
    You can explore Lifehack, Lifehacker.

Check hbr.org for research purposes. Their presentation of a topic always amazes me. Thank you!

    1. Thank you for sharing all these great suggestions! 😊 I’ve heard of a few but haven’t explored all of them, especially Indieblogger and MissMalini. Will definitely check out Lifehack, Lifehacker, and HBR for sure, sounds super useful, especially for research!

      1. HBR is oriented towards professionalism and business management.

Rest of the sites are good at content creation. So they’ll provide you topics & the approach required to explore them.
